The existing site needed a complete revamp and new look. Specially the website's was developed and the coding was done in Cold Fusion which is not the most favorable solution for user-friendly / search engine friendly design and results. The ColdFusion website integrated with their internal inventory management system nevertheless had very poor SEO characteristics. Hence, a complete mapping of their inventory and product categories was necessary to position their website on a Search Engine Friendly CMS. Also, they required a weekly update of their inventories due to the rapid change in their stock quantities.
Inherent to the business, it was critical that a solid data feeding system should be established to keep the products up-to-date, accurate and precise. Often most used machinery is single item products, thus products that are sold need to be eliminated from the available products offered to avoid potential buyer frustration. New products needed to be added as quickly and efficiently as possible for clear knowledge. The site typically offers about 6,000 unique items with strong turnover and activity.
Solution Implementation
A mockup was created based on the client's suggestions and final report. During the implementation phase, we obtain a database of their inventory and integrate it with the new CMS (Content Management System) which has to be Google Friendly and SEO Optimized. All their products were indexed on Google within 30 days.
